Cone Beam CT Scan

The Cone Beam CT scan is one of our greatest technological assets. Designed to be safer, more efficient, and more effective than a traditional medical CT scan, Cone Beam technology focuses energy directly into the treatment area while minimizing your radiation exposure by about 200 times. After covering your entire body with a lead apron for protection, the scan will rotate 360 degrees around your head, taking 30 images of your upper and lower jaws.

Each 3D digital image can be easily manipulated and segmented into half-millimeter sections and used to create a treatment plan for dental implant placement, bone grafting, and pathology treatment.

The circular motion of the scan allows for precise measurement of the volume, density, structure, and shape of your jawbone and pinpoints your sinus spaces and vital nerves. Unlike traditional medical CT scans, which are less focused and emit higher amounts of radiation, the Cone Beam scan uses the precision of up to 1/100th of a millimeter.

Traditional black and white x-rays are less accurate than CT Scans, making it more difficult to diagnose and treat your condition with dental implants.
