All-on-4 vs. All-on-6 vs. Teeth Next Day®: Which Full-Arch Solution Is Right for You?

Three Different Treatment Options to Choose from at PGA Dentistry

Searching “All-on-4 vs. All-on-6” from Palm Beach Gardens will likely give you a wall of ads, national implant chains, and price charts that rarely agree. Some sites treat these as rival brands. Others promise “teeth in a day” without saying which teeth, how many implants, or what happens three months later.

The confusion matters because full-arch treatment is one of the largest investments you will make in your health. The implants are meant to stay for life, the bridge sits in your smile every day, and the plan is hard to undo once surgery is finished.

  • Here is the short answer most ads and pages skip: All-on-4 and All-on-6 describe how many implants hold an arch of teeth. Teeth Next Day® is a complete treatment protocol that uses 4 to 8 implants depending on the bridge you choose.

Teeth Next Day® was developed and trademarked by Dr. Jay Ajmo of PGA Dentistry, who has practiced in Palm Beach Gardens since 1987. He holds Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology, one of about 500 dentists worldwide with that credential, and he places and restores implants in the same office.

All-on-4, All-on-6, and Teeth Next Day® Side by Side

All three replace a full arch of teeth with a fixed bridge you do not take out at night. The differences are how many implants carry the bridge, how fast the final teeth arrive, and how much choice you get in materials.

All-on-4

All-on-4 uses four implants per arch. The two back implants are tilted to use more of the available bone, which often avoids bone grafting. Temporary teeth go in on the day of surgery, and the final bridge is placed after the implants fuse with the bone, usually a few months later.

All-on-6

All-on-6 adds two implants to the same arch. The extra anchors spread chewing forces over more points and leave five implants carrying the bridge if one ever has a problem. It needs a little more bone, and the healing period before the final teeth are placed is typically three to six months.

Teeth Next Day®

Teeth Next Day® is the protocol Dr. Ajmo built for failing and missing teeth. Under IV sedation, he removes teeth that cannot be saved, places the implants, and handles most grafting in the same visit. Temporary teeth arrive within 24 hours. You then choose from three permanent bridges, and that choice sets the implant count.

Your Three Teeth Next Day® Bridge Options

  • Hybrid implant bridge: 4 implants, permanent teeth in 48 hours, lightweight, pink flange that mimics gum tissue, some speech adjustment.
  • Zirconia implant bridge: 4 to 6 implants, permanent teeth in about 3 months, extremely rigid and durable. Dr. Ajmo was the first implant dentist in South Florida to offer a permanent zirconia implant bridge.
  • Porcelain implant bridge: 6 to 8 implants, permanent teeth in about 3 months, no pink flange, as thin as natural teeth, usually no speech adjustment.

Every option includes a warranty, and each bridge is custom-designed by Dr. Ajmo’s team and crafted in the practice’s own lab.

6 Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Full-Arch Solution

1. How many implants does my jaw actually need?

Four implants can support an arch well when bone is limited. Six or more spread force and add backup support. A good answer comes from a 3D scan of your jaw, not a package price, and should explain why that number fits you.

2. Will I see a 3D CT scan before surgery?

Standard X-rays show height but not width or nearby nerves and sinuses. PGA Dentistry uses an in-office Prexion CT scanner for every implant case, so 3D CT scan diagnosis is part of planning, not an add-on.

3. Who places the implants, and who makes the teeth?

Many centers split surgery and restoration between two providers. When one dentist does both, implants go where the final teeth need them. Dr. Ajmo places and restores every implant himself in one office.

4. When do I get my permanent teeth?

“Teeth in a day” usually means temporary teeth. Ask when the final bridge arrives and what you can eat in between. With Teeth Next Day®, a hybrid bridge can be permanent in 48 hours; zirconia and porcelain finish in about three months.

5. What happens if I need bone grafting or extractions?

Grafting can add months if it is a separate surgery. At PGA Dentistry, bone grafting and extractions are most often done at the same visit as the implants to reduce the number of surgeries. Get any extra procedures in writing before you start.

6. How will I stay comfortable, and what does it cost?

Full-arch surgery is easier under IV sedation, which Dr. Ajmo is certified to provide. Ask for an itemized fee per arch and about the warranty. PGA Dentistry offers financing through Proceed Finance, CareCredit, and iCreditWorks.

Which Option Fits Me Best?

All-on-4 often fits if you:

  • Have lost bone in the back of the jaw and want to avoid separate grafting
  • Want a fixed arch at a lower implant count
  • Are comfortable waiting a few months for final teeth

All-on-6 often fits if you:

  • Have enough bone for two more implants
  • Have a strong bite or grind your teeth
  • Want backup support built into the arch

Teeth Next Day® often fits if you:

  • Have failing teeth, gum disease, or dental work that needs to come out first
  • Want extractions, implants, and most grafting handled in one sedated visit
  • Care about which material your permanent teeth are made of, or want a natural look without a pink gum flange

If none of these sounds like you, a fixed arch may not be the only path. Patients without enough bone, or who prefer teeth that come out at night, may do better with Snap-On Teeth or an implant-supported denture. The right choice depends on your bone, health, bite, and goals. A thorough exam, not a headline price, should decide it.

What a Good Full-Arch Consultation Looks Like

A strong consultation feels like planning, not a sales pitch. At PGA Dentistry, a Teeth Next Day® consultation or second opinion is complimentary and includes an exam, full-mouth X-rays, and a private visit with Dr. Ajmo.

You start with a 3D CT scan taken in the office, so Dr. Ajmo can see bone width, nerves, and sinuses. He walks you through which options your jaw can support: All-on-4, All-on-6, a Teeth Next Day® hybrid, zirconia, or porcelain bridge, or a removable option if that fits better.

You see real results from his own patients in the Teeth Next Day® Gallery. You also get a clear outline of surgery day, sedation, timelines for temporary and final teeth, and costs with financing choices. You leave with a plan you understand, not a deadline.
