PGA Dentistry Offers It All

Life inside the gates of Admiral’s Cove is built around things that reward attention to detail, such as a tee time on the East Course, a slip at the marina with the boat fueled for the Inlet, a table at 27 West on a Friday night. Your smile is in every one of those moments, and it deserves the same standard. PGA Dentistry brings that standard to Admiral’s Cove residents about 20 minutes from home, at the Palm Beach Gardens dental practice of Dr. Jay Ajmo, a board-certified dental implant surgeon and one of South Florida’s most decorated cosmetic dentists.
Dr. Ajmo has practiced cosmetic, implant, and restorative dentistry since 1987. He’s one of roughly 500 dentists worldwide who hold Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology; he’s certified to administer IV sedation, and he developed the Teeth Next Day® procedure that replaces a failing set of teeth with a permanent, natural-looking bridge in about 48 hours. If you have been putting off a smile you have wanted for years because you did not trust anyone in Jupiter to do it properly, this is the office you have been looking for.

Meet Dr. Jay Ajmo: Nearly Four Decades of Advanced Dentistry

Dr. Jay Ajmo earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in 1982 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1986, then trained in minor oral surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. He opened his Palm Beach Gardens practice the following year, and he has spent the decades since building one of the most extensive post-doctoral resumes of any dentist in Palm Beach County.
That resume matters when you are choosing who will rebuild your smile. Dr. Ajmo completed every course offered by the Misch International Implant Institute and earned his Mastership under Dr. Carl Misch, widely regarded as the father of modern implant dentistry. He holds Master’s level standing from the Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry at NYU, having trained directly under Dr. Larry Rosenthal and Dr. Ronald Goldstein, two of the clinicians who defined what a cosmetic smile makeover could be. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists.
He earned his IV sedation certification through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, and he keeps his Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification current every two years. The same dentist who designs your veneers can place your implants, manage your sedation, and monitor your safety without ever handing you off to a stranger down the hall.
The Best of South Florida named him South Florida’s Most Distinguished Cosmetic Dentist. The Consumer Research Council of America named him a Top Doctor. The Best of the Palm Beaches recognized PGA Dentistry as its Most Innovative Dental Office. WPTV NewsChannel 5 featured his implant work on air, and his Teeth Next Day® procedure using Prettau zirconia was announced nationally through PR Newswire.
Dentistry That Fits the Admiral's Cove Calendar
Most of our Admiral’s Cove patients split their year between Jupiter and somewhere north, and nearly all of them plan around the season. The social calendar fills from October through April; the U.S. Open Qualifier draws crowds to the golf course, the Admiral’s Cove Foundation events fill the ballroom; and the grandchildren arrive for the holidays with cameras in hand. Dental work that leaves you in temporaries for six months, or that requires you to be in town every three weeks, does not fit that life.
Dr. Ajmo plans treatment around your schedule rather than the other way around. Digital 3D CT imaging lets him diagnose and plan a case in a single visit. Advanced technology allows many crowns to be designed, milled, and placed the same day. Teeth Next Day® consolidates what used to be a year of implant appointments into roughly 48 hours, so a snowbird can arrive in Jupiter in November with failing teeth and be photographed at the holiday gala with a permanent new smile. For patients who want a complete cosmetic makeover before the season begins, veneer and full-mouth cases can be sequenced to finish before the first invitation arrives.
We also understand that discretion matters. Consultations are private, one-on-one with Dr. Ajmo, and treatment is delivered under one roof so you’re not shuttled between specialists across the county. Oral conscious sedation and IV sedation are available for anyone who would rather sleep through a longer appointment and wake up with the work finished.
The Smile Transformations Dr. Ajmo Helps Patients Achieve
Every before-and-after image on this website is an actual PGA Dentistry patient, and the case studies below reflect the kinds of transformations Admiral’s Cove residents come to Dr. Ajmo for most often. Whatever you see in the mirror that you would like to change, there’s a very good chance he has corrected it hundreds of times before.
-
Porcelain Veneers and Smile Design
If your front teeth have started to chip, show wear at the edges, or drift slightly out of alignment as the years go by, porcelain veneers can restore a smile that looks like your own at its best rather than a set of oversized white teeth. Dr. Ajmo’s training under Rosenthal and Goldstein shows in the proportions, the translucency, and the way the veneers sit against the lip line. One of our patients, Deborah, came to us with chipping front teeth, a small gap, and crowding that had begun to age her face. Her smile makeover with custom porcelain veneers closed the gap, corrected the alignment visually, and gave her a result that photographs beautifully without announcing itself.
-
Full-Mouth Reconstruction
Years of grinding, old dental work from three different dentists, a bite that has slowly collapsed: these problems build quietly and then show up all at once as fractured teeth, headaches, and a smile that looks shorter than it used to. Full-mouth reconstruction rebuilds every tooth in the arch so the bite, the gums, and the aesthetics work together. Janice arrived with teeth severely worn down from aggressive grinding and a strong wish to keep her natural teeth. Dr. Ajmo restored her with crowns and crown lengthening, preserving what she had while rebuilding what she had lost. John came in with an underbite, multiple areas of decay, aging crowns, and several fractured teeth at risk of being lost altogether. His full-mouth reconstruction with porcelain crowns gave him back a stable bite and a smile he no longer hides.
-
Dental Implants and Teeth Next Day®
For a single missing tooth, Dr. Ajmo places dental implants that are indistinguishable from their neighbors. For patients facing the loss of most or all of their teeth, Teeth Next Day® is the procedure that changed the conversation. Failing teeth are removed, implants are placed, and a custom bridge in zirconia, porcelain, or hybrid material is permanently attached, all within about 48 hours and under sedation. Linda’s dental work had been deteriorating for years before her full mouth Teeth Next Day® cosmetic porcelain bridgework gave her a permanent solution. Lenny’s advanced periodontal disease had caused extensive bone loss and loose teeth; Dr. Ajmo rebuilt both arches with All-on-8 bridgework. Bone grafting, sinus lifts, and All-on-4 and All-on-6 options are all performed in-house by Dr. Ajmo, so complex cases never require a referral.
-
Invisalign®, Whitening, and Facial Aesthetics
Not every transformation requires restorative work. Invisalign® clear aligners straighten teeth without brackets or wires, which suits a patient who is photographed at events all season. Professional whitening, in-office or with custom take-home trays, brightens teeth well beyond what over-the-counter products can achieve. Gummy smile treatment rebalances the ratio of gum to tooth. And because our dentists are trained in facial anatomy, natural-looking Botox® and dermal fillers are available to soften forehead lines, restore volume, and define the jawline so the frame matches the smile.
